Ditmore Garage

A garage can be a real piece of architecture, and in Charlotte's historic Dilworth neighborhood this one is treated that way. Steep gables with deep, bracketed eaves and exposed rafter ends set the character, in dark brown siding with pale green trim.

Heavy curved timber brackets hold up the porch roof, a small balcony sits in the upper gable and a shed dormer breaks the main roof. The rendering shows the other face, with paired carriage doors. Mature trees close in around it.
