The Chupp House meets the South Main sidewalk directly. A long porch on square white columns runs along the street, raised on river rock piers, with slatted white panels closing the gaps between them. The stair cheeks are built of the same rounded stone and sweep down to the walk.

Above the porch, the house turns to shingles and a white metal roof, broken by gables and bands of windows. Painted lap siding sits behind the porch, and the lower wall carries the same rhythm of stone and slats around the corner.

A pencil sketch and a model view show the massing as it was studied. In the kitchen, a large double-hung window sits directly over a white farmhouse sink.
