The studio’s North Carolina work includes houses in Davidson, a garage in Charlotte, a design review in Huntersville and a concept house in Breakaway.
At Carnegie Mews in Davidson the studio designed the Schettler House and the DeGrauw House, both built by John Marshall Custom Homes. In Charlotte’s Historic Dilworth neighborhood the studio designed the Ditmore Garage, built by Joe Mounie of New Wave Construction.
At Monteith Park in Huntersville, working for a neighborhood design review board, the studio marked up a production builder’s proposed homes and drew re-skin alternates to show the principles at work. A number of the recommendations result in a net savings for the builder.
Asheville has long been a favorite place for Kenny’s architectural inspiration, and its Shingle Style prompted a quick napkin sketch of a concept house, drawn over brunch on a Labor Day weekend trip.
